CNN is reporting that Russian president Dmitry Medvedev has signed the
ceasefire deal proposed by the president of France. The document was
delivered to Moscow from Tbilisi after it was signed by president
Saakashvili in Tbilisi.
Earlier today, president of France Nikolas
Sarkozy had a telephone conversation. Reportedly, Medvedev pledged to
sign the agreement and honor its terms.
Medvedev signed the document
in Sochi resort today, where he had been holding consultations with the
foreign minister of RF Sergey Lavrov.
